This short film was made by Base Productions, a production house that’s part of Octavia Foundation a charity I collaborated with at the time. Every project we worked on started with a social theme, and this one focused on gentrification.

The story follows a couple expecting their first child. They’re trying to stay in their neighborhood, but with rent and housing prices going through the roof, it’s a constant struggle to avoid moving somewhere else.

I edited the film in Premiere Pro, managing the editing process while collaborating closely with the producer and director to bring their vision to life. I also handled the sound mixing and worked on the color correction, adding a few grading tweaks to finish it off.

This project really stuck with me. The subject felt personal, and it was amazing to be part of a group of people creating something that mattered. Like every project, there were challenges, but shaping a story like this made it an experience I’ll always remember.
