Liberi Oltre

Since this video is only in Italian, a quick explanation might help overcome the language barrier. The campaign highlights the efforts of Italians to support Ukrainians during the war. In this video, a videographer is shown delivering essential supplies like solar panels, food, and electric generators to soldiers.

I joined this project while working at the same company on other assignments, but this one instantly felt more personal. It was in my native language, and I felt deeply connected to the subject of the campaign.

My role was short but meaningful—I worked on the assembly edit to support the main editor. The footage had already been ingested, and I followed a rough script to piece the sequence together. The biggest challenge was sorting through all the archive footage provided by the videographer, but it was also one of the most rewarding parts of the process.

I’ve worked with sensitive footage before, but this project felt uniquely moving. I’m used to working on scripted material, so adjusting to the creative freedom took a bit of time. With the producer’s guidance, I completed the assembly and set everything up for the editor to take over.
